Keeping cities moving

As one of the world’s leading toll road operators, everything we do – from designing and building new roads to researching new vehicle and road safety technology – is about getting people where they want to go, as quickly and safely as possible.

Our ideas shape cities, boost economies and redefine landscapes. As our cities’ populations grow, we’re busy creating transport solutions (roads, tunnels, bike paths and more) that will deliver social and economic benefits to these cities for decades to come.

Learn more about Transurban.

At Transurban, the journey starts with you

Your contributions at Transurban will matter. From day one, you’ll be encouraged to share your ideas and apply your expertise to create better ways of working, building, and doing. You’ll explore different business areas where your advice will count, your responsibilities will be real and your decisions will have impact.

And you won't just be stuck in an office all day, either. You’ll be out among it, seeing some of our cities’ biggest projects up close. Experience what it's like to be inside a tunnel, beneath a bridge, in our Habitat Filter, or go straight to where all the action happens – inside our Traffic Control Room.

Your buddies and mentors will be there to guide and support you, while our senior leaders, technical specialists and formal learning paths will help you hone your leadership skills.

We recognise that Australia’s journey towards reconciliation must involve participation from all parts of society and it is important for us to show leadership in the communities we serve. Our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) is focused on creating meaningful and long-term connections with First Nation communities to help inform our actions.

    More than roads
Our strong link to communities is visible from our sites and offices. We are vigilant about managing and monitoring our impacts on local communities, and work with communities to create local benefits.

In FY22, we invested more than $4 million in targeted community programs and partnerships, reinforcing our purpose – to strengthen communities through transport. Read more.

    Minimising our impacts
We’re serious about ensuring our activities support the cities we operate in and the communities living and working near our roads. We’ve set high sustainability standards for our projects and operations, including working towards net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. See how we’re tracking.

    Step 3: Video interview

Participate in a one-way video assessment. You will record your answers to several set questions. This stage is designed for you to showcase your strengths, motivations and alignment to our core values.

In the presentation we may look at how you interact with others to solve a business problem, your process for follow up and what reflections you had. In the interview we will ask some structured behavioural based questions aligned to the graduate role requirements. This is an opportunity for you to ask questions about the program and what it’s like to work at Transurban.
