With restrictions starting to lift across Australia, many people are looking forward to packing the car – and the kids – to head away on a well-deserved family holiday this summer.
A correctly fitted child car seat can significantly reduce the risk of injury in an accident by up to 70%, however it’s estimated that more than 50% of car seats are installed incorrectly.
We gathered a panel of industry experts from Transurban, NeuRa and Kidsafe to talk about their top tips for keeping kids safe on the road.
The panel discussed key steps parents and carers can take to ensure safe travel with kids, different types of child restraints and when children can move between them, car seat installation and misuse, and child safety in ride-share vehicles.
If you have questions about where is the safest place for your child to sit, or what to check to make sure your restraint is fitted properly watch the webinar recording below.
