It’s said that fresh flowers can do wonders in brightening anyone’s day. That’s what we’re hoping Sydney’s Winston Heights Public School students and staff feel when they return to school this week from their summer break.

Transurban M2 Hills Motorway staff lent the school a helping hand to restore school gardens and property to make the return to school an exciting one for students this year. There were a number of tools donated including shovels, watering cans, painting supplies, small hand tools and a wheelbarrow for the school to put to use over the year ahead along with a range of healthy vegetable’s, which the students will plant as part of their environmental studies subject.

School Principal Margaret Creagh said it was an amazing effort by the team, making the outside surrounds safer and transforming the current school environment into something the whole community can now enjoy.
